Guia Peñin evaluated 400 Chilean wines

Last month, Guia Peñin, the most important wine guide in Spain, evaluated more than 400 Chilean wines in one week at Puro Wine W in Chile. The best wines will be part of Peñín Guide to the Best Wines from Argentina, Chile, Spain and México 2015.

Every year, there are more Chilean wine producers who send their best samples to be tested by Guía Peñín.

Most wineries in Chile are located in the Central Valley, where famous Maipo, Rapel, Curicó and Maule Valleys are located. Most differences among zones are based on 3 basic elements which influence Chilean viticulture; the coast, the space between the mountain range and the Andes.

Chile has been working on dividing its wine zones in a way that they are easier to understand by the consumer.
